Artist's Comments

Not really into shooting cathedrals and stuff like that but was asked to today. After borrowing a camera (canon 40D), was spending more time working out the bloody thing than anything else.

This was my favourite image from the lot. Enjoy

Well, that's something completely different than the pics in your gallery 8-) . Anyway, in spite of fighting with your camera your effort seems to have worked out very good! I don't know how much of such 'objects' you photographed, but you surely followed a lot of photographic standards to make a photo acceptable! For example the 'altar' in front. Taken in the exact right angle to create a stunning perspective. In combination with the pillars and part of the ceiling that work their way backward, the sense of depth is exactly right! By doing this you have shown us you were really in a 3D cathedral :-) . The lighting you have achieved here (probably with some shutter play) is very good aswell. So to summarize: a very well chosen angle, very good lighting, a beautful photo here! There's nothing wrong if you add this section of photography to your skills and show off some more pics over here :gadget: . Take care!
